It’s a bright and sunny morning, and little Marcus the Lion Cub is waking up with a big yawn. “Yawn,” he stretches his paws wide. Today is a very special day—it’s his first day at the Little Karoo School!

Marcus puts on his favorite backpack and heads to the table where Mommy has made a yummy breakfast. “Are you ready for school?” she asks with a smile. Marcus nods happily, feeling both excited and a little shy.

At school, Marcus sees Lucas the Hippo playing in the water, and Lola the Giraffe stacking tall blocks. Ollie the Elephant quietly watches the butterflies nearby.

Mrs. Karoo, the teacher, gathers everyone for storytime. She reads a fun story about brave little animals, just like Marcus and his friends. After the story, they all sing a happy song and dance with smiles all around.

After playing, learning, and sharing snacks, it’s time to go home. Marcus feels proud and a little tired. “I can’t wait for tomorrow!” he says, hugging his new friends goodbye.

Back at home, Mommy wraps him in a cozy hug. “You did such a great job today,” she says softly. Marcus snuggles in, ready for sweet dreams and another fun day at school.
