Hi! My name is Marcus!  I live deep in the Karoo Dens with my pride, where the sun warms my fur and the desert wind whispers stories around me. My dad is the mighty leader of the Great Karoo Pride—the proud King of the Karoo Desert! Every day, I watch him closely, dreaming of the moment I can be just like him. I lead my own little group, which I’ve named the Little Karoo Pride, or the Little Karoos. I practice my roar every day, imagining it echoing off the rocky hills, fierce and powerful like my dad’s. One day, my roar will shake the earth and stop everyone in their tracks—that’s the roar of a true king, and I’m working hard to make it mine.
